A list will be sent to you of what we require, but the basis being a Diploma in Childcare or higher.

Is there a minimum age requirement?

Yes you must be at least 21 years old and have a minimum of 2 years experience.

What skill sets do you look for?

We are searching for those who possess a unique set of skills and talents that are part of the make up of a LunaNanny. These can range from holding a certificate in teaching children’s Yoga to being an expert Geocacher. No skill is too small- so let us know!

Can I still apply even if I don’t like Avacodos?

Yes, we understand everyone’s tastes are different and therefore, are willing to accept candidates who don’t like Avocados.

Do I need to pay a fee?

You will never be required to pay any kind of fees to be a part of our agency. The only fees you may need to pay are for a DBS check and a First Aid course if you haven’t already attended one or your current one has expired.

How does the registration process work?

First of all you are required to complete the electronic form located at the bottom of the Nannies page.

In addition we also require copies/ proof of;

  • NVQ/ Diploma in childcare studies or equivalent
  • Certificates for any skills you possess or courses you may have attended that you feel may be useful (children’s yoga, swimming, first aid, cooking, baking, skiing, Unicorn riding)

Once all of your details and documents have been thoroughly checked and you meet the requirements, a member of our team will be in touch to arrange a face to face interview.

Where do I go for an interview for LunaChild?

We hold two interviewing locations. One in Manchester, UK and the other one in London, UK so you will attend the closest and most convenient one for you. That is if you are in the UK.

Here at LunaChild we no longer live in the land of the Dinosaurs and because our LunaNannies come from far and wide we also interview using other methods such as Skype. Therefore there is no need to panic if you are a Nanny in America or Dubai you are more than welcome to join us.

How soon could I be placed in a job?

Once our interviewing process with you is complete and our document checks are complete, we will store your details on our database.

The timing all depends on your location, the season and which type of service you are interested in applying for and because we understand that every position is different, we take pride in ensuring each match is to the best of our ability for both Family and LunaNanny.

What is the current average salary?

This can vary depending on your experience, location of the job, number of children and amount of hours requested per week. A more detailed breakdown can be sent to you via email or during interview discussion.

Where could I get a job?

The world is your oyster! We reach families requiring super nannies all over so you may find yourself in the heart of London or further afield such as Paris, Geneva or even the USA!

Who will arrange my contract?

We work closely with the family to arrange a contract that is suitable for what they require and then this is discussed in further detail with you before being signed.

How do you screen the families?

Just as we fully screen our Nannies, we also ensure we do thorough checks on all clients starting with multiple phone conversations, home visit (or Skype depending on location) and two references.

I don’t have an up to date DBS check, can you help me?

Of course! The form will be sent to you to complete along with payment details and we send this all off for you once you have filled out and sent back to us. Explanation of this fee will be given during the interview.

Will ongoing support and advice be given once I am in a job?

Absolutely! Our team are always on hand to answer any questions you may have or give tips and advice on all things childcare related.

We don’t just abandon you once you are placed, we want to ensure you are happy and safe at all times. If you have any questions, concerns or just want to talk to somebody we are only a phone call away, so please do not hesitate to contact us anytime.
